I also want to participate in the heatwave of fury. I mean really, WTF?

Some of you might not know what I’m talking about here, so let me explain.

As I mentioned before, my friend and me are making a comic. Generally a small project for our own selves. The idea was to make the first Lithuanian comic about IT and such. Well, since we had a lag of sorts, we finished second, but still, I know we’re better ^^. Anyway, since it’s a comic about IT, inevitably we encounter such things, as appliance of computer brands, energy drinks.  Why not make it fun, and make one character obsessed with a certain brand? I don’t think  it’s advertisement, if we make a three part series about “RedBull”- what  if it’s an actual problem/feature of our….um…..job/hobby/obsession/life? So if I’m making a comic, and want to make an apple or a dell freak in it, that means, that i’m advertising them? All I can say is F*** bloody you.

Fine, so let it be, that product placement IS a part of advertising. But we live in a real world. I mean how many of you actually act: “Wow! Tom Cruise has an “Apple”, hmmmm, maybe I should get one too?” This is stupid, and you know it. So just to let you know. We’re not gonna delete the brands, or make up any new ones. Blog’s and such ABOUT commercials are not commercials. Learn to see the difference, and learn some respect.

moving on with Itopia

Well, since I formatted Devi (my lap-top) some of my graphic software went down the drain: Manga Studio Ex, ArtRage and such ,( So now ‘m thinking about getting Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium (dang what a long name), even though I’ll need barely two programs from the whole bundle: Photoshop and Illustrator. But what the hell, you never know when you’ll need something else.

Also been working with ITopia recently. I already finished the scetch of the manager, almost done with D.I.2.2.1, and already thought of what Ami is supposed to look like. The only thing left is the digital side of the drawings.

Another question is what am I supposed to do with the guys? I just can’t see how to draw them, nor the pose, nor the style. I mean the girls are done somewhat Vallejo/Royo style, but the muscles definitely won’t go on them. I meanc’mon, they’re geeks for heaven sakes./ And also making some wallpapers anime, some completely different, that won’t go either.. So I’m at a loss at the moment. Maybe any suggestions?

prologue

Hardly fitted into my deadlines, aaaand I didn’t get the editors position. Oh well, there’s always next time. At least everything seems to work out with ITopia.)

Anyway, I’m still working with the wallpaper of D.I.2.2.1., a lot still left, though can’t say, that I’m spending a lot of time with it either, I’ll show it up as soon as i’m done. Btw, about the pic’s that I mentioned before, well, I still don’t have them at hand, so not really something I can show yet. Oh, and I started saving for my own cam.) a WEEE lot to go, can’t figure out how to manage until the end of summer either. I’ll just have to home for my granny to win a lottery or something.) Right now I’m considering a Nikon D80 or Canon EOS 400D. Unless anything else worth attention comes up in the meantime, it’ll be one of the two.)

deadlines

Generally a pretty good weekend, but tonight’s gonna be a bust.. I can’t seem to fit to my deadlines, and I’m completely not in a workout mood. So many things to do, but as always too little time. For the job I found myself a motivation though.) The same Nikon 80D .) Enc gave me his Canon for a while today, so I made a couple of shots. You know, just getting used to it all, ’cause i really hooked up on photography. I’ll show you the photos when he’ll upload ‘em,  ’cause I don’t have the drivers installed (lol). So goodnight to you folks,  I guess I’ll watch over you, while I finish a design, draw the comic for tomorrow, and write an add for the magazine.)

Generally after a quite exhausting evening/night/morning yesterday, been hanging around town today. Nothing special, just shopping for some knives, drewling over a stand with a Nikon D80. I really gotta get me one of those…

the project’s to-do

Where do I start?

Oh yeah. Well, i decided to change the animation in ITopia.lt. It was a minimal at first, and the way I look at i now, a crappy one too. It’s till far from perfect, but at least the first step is taken.) The site there will most likely also change, maybe an additional section or two will appear. I also have an idea, that I want to fulfill: to make some posters of the characters. I mean normal posters. Colored, the body structured finished, maybe the drawing style a bit more worked out.) I’m really looking up to this whole project, hopefully it won’t close.)

Interview pt.2

Well, I finished the assignment they gave me at Computer Bild. Gave it to them yesterday, so all I can do now is wait.) It seems there were two more people that were also trying to get the editors position, but one wasn’t suitable, and the other withdrew his application.)  Guess it makes me one step closer to the goal,)

Today I had an interview for the editors job at ComputerBild Lithuania. They gave me a test work, and depending on how I’ll manage with it, I might get the job.) It’d be pretty wicked .)

Also today I read a pretty interesting article, about making a tablet out of your lap-top screen. Though the USB add-on is available only for windows users, including vista. You can read more about it here.

Vilnius’ center 360°

Been walking around town for a bit today, shooting some photos with enc. Made quite a bit, though some aren’t worth showing. Anyway, back home he tested a software that came along with his new Canon EOS 350D, ‘PhotoStitch’, so some pretty weird photos came out. You can see some at his account in picasa.
